ARDLER VILLAGE TRUST

ENVIRONMENT GROUP

One of the urban rangers projects is to support the work of the Ardler Environment Group. The group were established in 2003 and are involved in practical conservation projects including making bird boxes, clearing reeds and litter picking in Ardler. They have also visited sites around Dundee to learn more about their environment.

This year the AEG & the urban ranger are looking at how they can improve the East Pond in Ardler. We have received many complaints about the state of the pond from the community and feel that something should be done to improve it. We are currently looking at cleaning up the pond and making it into a space that the community can use. If you are interested in joining in with the AEG we meet every Wednesday from 9:30 – 11:30am at the Ardler Complex. Come along and show your support for your environment! We plan to run a number of community events over the next year to get the pond cleaned up so look out for us and come and join in!

If you would like to know more please contact the urban ranger on 07985 874176 or by email to Emily
